We totally get why some writers might love those features, but folks tend to turn to Slugline for an experience with fewer distractions, and that’s what we love too. Slugline 2 does not have user-created themes, sprint timers, or gender analysis. I just want a good plain text editor that lets me write without thinking about pages or formatting. I dont know that Slugline is supposed to be any place in particular, though. Slugline 2 has note tags and color-coded notes. I havent tried out Slugline but it looks really nice. The logline will also be the foundation upon which the script will reside. It can consist of 30 to 50 words and will function as a short synopsis to draw potential viewers or production deals. Live Compare also works without adding anything to the Fountain file spec, so you don’t have to change anything about your workflow. A logline refers to an extremely short summary of a film or a book. We call it Live Compare, and in our experience many writers find it easier to use than the traditional method. Sync your work over iCloud or Dropbox, and write wherever, whenever. And Slugline 2 works with Slugline for iPhone and iPad.
